Trying to cut back on number of plants, if I do two each, that will be 24 plants. Last year, I had 34 in the raised bed, 8 in The Box, and 6 more in growbags, 48 total.

I may start some plants for friends, if they want.

Target start date is February 9.

Put the overwinters outside to start hardening off:

Looking at the long-range forecast, I may move plant out up a week, around the weekend of the 18th.

Hope everyone has a great season.

Thanks for looking.

Prep time:

Ran the RotoTiller thru the raised bed last week to break it up.

Today is fertilizer day.

I had also in dumped about 10 ft3 of potting mix (Ocean Forest and Pro-Mix Ultimate) from last years grow bags, along with ashes from a couple cords of hardwood we burnt over the winter before using the RotoTiller.

Time to plant the tomatoes.

10 ft3  ProMix Ultimate and 4 ft3 chunky perlite:

All mixed:

Had enough left over to pot up two of the over-winters. The unknown purple in a 19 inch pot, Red Primo in a 12 inch pot:

New plants start hardening off this afternoon, once the backyard gets into shade.

Thanks for looking.

Looking good! Are you doing any peppers in the fabric pots this year?

Thanks.

I do have two left over plants that I will pot up if I cannot give them to a friend.

Your garden space looks great, Al. Will the amendments
you included hold your plants for the season, or will you
fertilize during the Summer/Fall?

How do you like those emitters? I have some of those,
but have been using something else in my big containers.

Paul,

I will start with the weekly application of the fish and seaweed (at 80% of recommended strength) around the first week of July. I use ~five gallon of mix for the entire raised bed, so, they really are not getting a lot, just a little boost.

The micro sprinklers are great! I adjust the water pressure so they each give about 2 or 3 foot diameter circle . I have them on a timer, every day it does not rain, from 05:30 - 06:00.

Well done, Al!

Plants look like they are appreciative of your efforts!

A few Saturday morning pics.

Thanks for looking, more pics as the season progresses.

Been three weeks since I last posted, time for an update.

Raised bed plants are doing very well:

CPR plants are growing like weeds, but have not seen a single flower:

Did not see any until late last year either. This variety would probably do really well in a sub-tropical environment where it could grow for several years.

Picked a few ScotchBrains:

That is all for now, thanks for looking. Hope everyone else is having a great year.

Nice grow! What size is your raised bed?

Gonna build 4-5 beds with 20 peppers in each and was thinking 10m*1.2m, not sure if it would get too crowded after 4+ months. Is yours a 10 meter one?
