tsurrie's 2019 glog

So I started again. A little later than usual (used to do it around january 25th) but still early enough I think.

Always exciting when you have new stuff coming up daily

That is some damn bright Pink/blurple lighting...what kind is it if I may ask?

Accidental PT even...but hey I will take it

yup, I wish it was daily, nothing happened today. :)
The lights are some cheap red&blue LEDs from china, but they seem to work because I had no stretched plants since I got those lights.
I got them to fill in for the lack of sunlight in the winter/springtime at the beginning of the season.

Congrats on another PT :)

Nice to see a fellow Slovenian here on this forum. I'll definitely follow your thread. You have some nice seeds going on!
Maybe you and Uros will post some pics
of your beautiful country for us to enjoy.

Good luck to both of you this season!

Maybe Paul, if I get to take some pics of a beautiful day I'm always up to put a pic up.
Here's one from today's run. We're having a weird winter with almost no snow

Today Chupetinho and Tepix x Lemondrop joined the party.

Today I noticed some new movements in the grow box....

Alpina's popped up, maybe they were out yesterday already but didn't notice

I almost decapitated (while removing the helmet) the first C.R. Habanero that popped. I hope it will be ok since I'm not sure if any more will pop up

And Rocoto has finally decided to join in

I will need to transplant the early ones into the solo cups soon, as they are getting big already.
Soon... might be over the weekend.

I guess so Paul. I was just not sure if I was too tough with the helmet pull, it just drove me nuts for a few days
I know, Uros. Sometimes it's hard to wait
patiently for things to work themselves out.
On the updside, those little sprouts are
tougher than one might think!

I've had a bad sprouting rate but most of the blame goes to the 'old stock' seeds I decided to give a go and see if they're still alive.
So far only 10 varieties sprouted and I think that no other variety will sprout, but I'll let them sit for another few days just in case.

I'll just get rid of those that didn't sprout and free some space in my collection box.

I transplanted these into solo cups today....

Aji Umba 11x
Kurtovska Kapija 12x
Alpina 4x
Jalapeno Hercules 1x
Tepin x Lemon drop 5x
Chupetinho 7x

I'll post a picture tomorrow when I'll have some daylight.

A few of the other sprouts will be transplanted in the following week, I'll just let them grow a little more so I wont damage them.

Also sowed a few tomatoes, 8 varieties.

Hey, Uros, how's it goin'? How is the Caribbean Red
Habanero in post #29 doing? Has it grown out of its
cotyledons, yet?

Looks like some progress being made there, my friend;
transplants mean the the game is afoot!

Have fun figuring out what to replace your old seeds with!
But don't throw out the old ones. Put all of them in trays of
moist dirt just like planting in the garden and let them go
as long as you can keep them in a good location for germinating.

Yes Paul, Caribbean Red started to push out some true leaves...
crhabanero02032019.jpg

And yes, will let the old ones keep on trying for a little while more.
As long there's hope ... you know.

Thanks for stopping by.

Starts looking great, Uros. Good job!

The Caribbean Red Habanero will be loaded with
lots of little red nuggets come summer time

Perfect timing for one of the "not sprouted"... just took a quick look at the grow box and noticed another new sprout ... Fidalgo Roxa X Grao de Bode
Never say never, huh, Uros!

You're right Paul. As soon as I was thinking I should toss them away.... another one sprouted.
This one is from some old stock, the first EU train, I think it's from Nulle... Habanero Cappuccino (Edit: yes it is I saw I already wrote that down on the first page.. memory loss  ).
