Glad I am not the only one who uses the yogurt containers /high five

And aye those maters will certainly need some room before its all said and done but I also do it kinda similar, think I transplant the maters 3-4 times before they get to the outside.

Really diggin those trays though man, not sure if its me or not but they look deeper then a regular 10x20 tray?

Double edit - I had ment to add like 2 weeks ago that the shot of the hills and mountains is absolutely breath taking. I would kill to live in an area like that.

Oooooh yeah, yogurt pots, high five!
Why not use them if we already got them. And they are just the right size.

The trays are 4x6 pots, approx. 4x5 cm and 5cm deep. Smaller than yogurt pots but will do for some time.

You don't have to kill to live in this area, you just have to move.
I know, it's much more complicated when you start to think about that stuff. And pretty far away too.

I can take you with us for a hike if you come by some day. There are a few better views just a few hours away, if you're lucky with the weather.

A little update after a month :rolleyes:

They are slowly growing.... the time to finally prepare the garden is coming soon

Well, chilis at my place are growing just as much as I'm posting the progress around here. Almost every pot I prepared has a disastrous plant in it :rolleyes:

All yellowish with almost no pods - it seems I fuc@d up something with the soil, even though I spent a lot of money on the soil, so I was pissed off of course. But now when I calmed a bit down, I'll post some pics of the plants I prepared for my father in law. At least those are thriving... and of course I have a few little plants on the garden that are growing a few chilis on them, so I'll have some to eat so no worries :dance:

Also tomatoes are ripening up and there seems to be a lot of them.

Aji Umbas are just beautiful

had one of Tepin x Lemon drop pods with my dinner

It's tasty, quite juicy and not so hot

Now I really have to check what all of you folks are doing, I really feel bad I neglected this site so much. I guess that happens to a lot of us from time to time. Take care!

I know this all too well with our climate here; close to 6 weeks of 100° or more here.

Congrats on the produce you are getting, maybe that's why we plant extra

Usually, this time of the year, plus 2-3 weeks and we start to get a break. I still have a few plants going, maybe 10? hoping for the 75-90 of good weather we normally get at that point. Fall garden starts in the next 3 weeks, lettuce, radishes, carrots, onions, garlic, spinach, potatoes, and whatever else likes our cooler fall climate

Thank you Paul. The temperatures were ideal but something else went awry. The garden is full of pumpkins and tomatoes, so nothing to complain about that. The pepper section is just not what I was expecting in the year's start.
Not much mountaineering, more mountain biking, but nothing to brag about. Just to keep the system in shape.

Been picking a few batches like these over the last three weeks, so tomatoes are growing well. Soon there will be enough sauce for the whole winter and more. And a lot for a few more tomato salads we like so much.

Some of them are around 1 kilo or more...

A few chilis for pickling,... that's As chili and Jalapenos

actually, you got me thinking... there are some "buns" a local bakery is offering, that could be sort of a match. And the butcher from a store near by also offers large patties. This could actually be done

actually, I was sooo full after eating that, I could't post for some time

no sorry, it was not done... but I'm sure gonna plant these tomatoes in the future too. And that burger will be done and get eaten sooner or later.

I'm actually planning a small chili grow these days, for the next season.
I just wish I could find more time to get into it as much as I did in the last few years. Not like this season :neutral:

I hate myself for not being into the grow so much, but then again... I think my family needs me more with school and all of the stuff that comes with. I think I'll start growing more later when the kids got their own hobbies and when the puberty hit's in... that will buy me some extra time :lol:

Both of the boys are attending climbing classes... I never actually climbed before, but with the kids involved, I had to participate in a lesson yesterday and just ordered my first climbing shoes today. So I guess I'll get to climbing now to. Pretty much different than some hobby running, hiking and mountain biking that I was doing until now. But I think it will suit me, have to clear the head from all the computer / printer related stuff from the job.

Mountains will have to wait. We started in a gym and even that is thrilling for me
