Dangler's Gonna Glog It

Never been good about this but going to give a Glog a try.  It's time to start seeds here in Kansas.  Some do it earlier ..... now is when I do it.  I've selected my seeds and divided them into Group A and Group B.
Group A will be started this weekend.  Group A includes most of my hotter varieties.
I use the paper towel method to germinate seeds in lidded cups on temperature controlled heat mats.  Then I will transplant to 3.5" pots  .... more on this later.  I use T5 lighting systems.  Depending on the variety, I will ultimately look for 1X-4X starts.  I growout in 37 raised beds.  I grow as a hobby, to give away, small time sales and to process.
Group A germination candidates are:

7 Pot Burgundy,

7 Pot Nebru,

7 Pot Primo Yellow,

7 Pot Yellow X 7 Pot Douglah,

Bhut Jolokia Arseclown,

Bhut Jolokia Assam Yellow,

I'll post Group B as we progress.  Group B is a much larger undertaking .... mostly SBs, annuums and baccatums.  I'll probably start those in a couple weeks.  Looking forward to documenting the season. I'll post the pictures once we get started.

Nice list for group A! We should field trip each others grow this year.

Ps I'm one that starts earlier lol. Mainly cause I started the growdown plants Jan 1st at 1am lol. So after I had a light running it was hard to keep the rest of the seeds dry lol.

Can't wait to see your progress.

Added Bahamian Beast Chocolate F1, Bahamian Beast Peach F3 and Bahamian Beast Red F3 to the Group A.
That will give me 30 varieties in Group A.
Got the seed packs located and ready to go.
I'll start the seeds tomorrow or Saturday.

You are one swingin' cat, Michaell
:welcome: to the 2019 season on the glogosphere!

I was impressed with the quality of your list, then
got to 'plan B'. That's when I said  :silenced:  should be
just a great grow. Can't wait to see the plants up
and running. You must be talking a possibility of
a couple of hundred starts or more.

Yep.  I'll have a couple hundred starts.  A chunk of those will be given away.  I've only allocated enough raised bed space for 150 plants.  We typically won't replace  varieties that don't germinate or succumb during plant out.
I've also got overlap with starting tomatoes ..... which is another complete endeavor   .  We've been known to plant out a hundred tomato plants.

150 plants is a sizable grow by any standard, Michael.
