BrandonB's 2019 glog!!

Wanted to wait until some signs of life were showing before starting the glog, and here we are.

Will be an outdoor container grow in humid north Florida. Will probably end with at least 10 cultivars.

Hopefully the heat and pests will be kind to me this season!!

Without further ado some 7 pot choccy and sepia serpent that are just starting their lives! Will be putting about 5 more varieties into towels tonight!!   Also i apologize for the terrible quality, im a shaky fella and my phone is rather poor. :D

(How long do you guys usually let radicles go before putting into medium?)

Good looking plants! And good call on the big labels; I use small ones and they consistently get misplaced or forgotten. I have at least a couple plants right now I'm waiting for pods from just so I can ID them.

I know they were a good pick up!!! Flimsy and don't hold marker well though. My wife writes the labels large and neatly, then wraps clear packing tape over them and trims the tape clean. Makes for pretty solid plant tags that look clean too.

I'd saying your getting water on the plants under strong light and the young leaves are getting damaged and growing out distorted and showing some spots.

Plus things are looking a little salty in those pics - maybe a good flush is in order?

Doesn't look like Ca to me.

Need to get yourself on to an image hosting site my friend...I use Imgur but I can dig out a list of others I have played with as well for ya in abit. OR you can shell out some cashola and pay for an extreme membership, I think you get unlimited space?? I may be mistaken though. But yeah Imgur is a pretty solid hosting site.

Edit - And it is free I should add as are most of the hosting sites I played with

figured most of you guys were doing something to get your images up, not the most forum savvy guy.  Thanks again matt.

Another possible image host is tinypic.

http://tinypic.com/

It's also free and doesn't even require registration. You'll need to keep your own list of image links to be able to locate the images easily later.

Images hosted on tinypic that I posted in my first glog in 2013 are still there.

Hey Brandon, awesome grow you have going there. Great list. Your dog, I know I'm beating a dead horse here but he is beautiful! The plants of course are awesome as well haha! Jealous of your climate, it looks like your on track to have a great season! Sorry about your loss with the few starts, looks like you bounced back with no problems at all. I've done the same thing with dawn dish soap... Like a dumbass in full son and burnt the crap out of plants in the past, I feel for ya. I would also agree 100% with you, cal/mag.. Not a big deal at all though they are happy plants for sure! nice work! looking forward to following!

What insect is this if any? Need to lock down all obvious pest signs and this seems to obviously be one.  Or a weird deficiency which i dont think it is.

Damage is spread pretty randomly, across all three spots i have plants in.  I have THOROUGHLY searched multiple times but havent seen anything alive on the plants, though something fast or nocturnal could easily pass me by.

Happy growing folks!!!

Interesting....Last year I wondered if the grasshoppers were doing any damage to my bells and lettuce   These pics could be extremely helpfuland a good source for comparison come plant out time for me Brandon. Have you noticed a bunch of them on your plants or just the odd one here and there?

Ill take a picture for you in a little that shows damage stopped in the act by a grasshopper next to older damage and they look pretty similar.

I dont see many of them but i think im not catching them at the correct time.

The damage on the left side is what ive been seeing, crescent moon shaped holes, cleanly cut,  the right is what was left of a "flicked" off hopper.  The rightmost damage is from fingernail scrape as i watched it appear as i flicked him,  and the feint line is what he left behind from him eating, im not sure but im pretty positive its been from the same insects.

Some tuesday update photos, plants are coming along nicely, will likely move some into more shade as i imagine they will drop flowers at this point.

I used to use postimage.org to post pics, then they changed to postimage.cc and it ruined all my posts so I bought an extreme. When it ran out I couldnt figure out why my pics wouldnt post, then someone anonamosly bought me a new extreme membership before I had a chance to renew. I have a suspect, but I can't be sure. Lol thanks again, whoever it was.

Its a lot easier to just upload with extreme. And I'm sure it costs thp to host the images, so I don't mind paying. And the boss usually does half price or bogo memberships at some point in the year. That's a good time to stock up and save some cash

I try to be anonymous in gifting extreme memberships, but my 'victim' always guesses it is me.  Add to that the fact that I have been told to never ever play poker as I am just one big tell. I'm picking my next victim(s) now, and it might go better, as I'm looking at people I almost never interact with.
