Prostrate Cancer and Capsicum

Prostate Cancer and Capsicum

For you guys out there, this is a real problem with a solution all of us here should like to do with no problem.

I suggested this group to another forum I belong to, where a discussion of Prostrate Cancer was started. We might see some of them here soon.

The scientific testing is real. The problem is real and the solution is easy:

*******
-start of articles-

"Capsaicin had a profound anti-proliferative effect on human prostate cancer cells in culture," said Sören Lehmann, M.D., Ph.D., visiting scientist at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the UCLA School of Medicine. "It also dramatically slowed the development of prostate tumors formed by those human cell lines grown in mouse models."
Lehmann estimated that the dose of pepper extract fed orally to the mice was equivalent to giving 400 milligrams of capsaicin three times a week to a 200 pound man, roughly equivalent to between three and eight fresh habañera peppers - depending on the pepper's capsaicin content.
Hot Pepper Ingredient Capsaicin Kills Prostate Cancer Cells

*******
-second article-

According to a study published in the March 2006 issue of Cancer Research, capsicum helps halt prostrate cancer spread. Capsaicin probably has a certain positive consequence, the study concluded. Most important seems to be blocking NF-kappa Beta effect, a molecular mechanism that promotes cancer cell growth.
Capsicum it's a pepper and capsaicin is the ingredient that makes them hot.
Prostate Cancer Cells Killed by Capsicum

This is good news. My Grandpa got his ass kicked by this and Parkinson's. I wonder if he just needed more peppers in his life if it would have helped?

Excuse me while i go stick some bhuts in my butt.

This is something that all men should be made aware of. Very cool find NGM and thank you for posting it.

The big C has left it's mark on my family.

One article I read on this subject said it puts the prostate cancer cells on the path to suicide...what better way to kill a killer is there?....

As with mine, patrick. It caused the death of my Mother, Father and wife. That shit is nothing to play with. Men who don't get their prostate checked every year are insane. It may be referred to as the "finger of death" but that finger can save you from unspeakable misery and death. Don't put it off because of slight embarrassment or discomfort.

Wow I thought you would have to eat way more than that, but with a Bhut, Naga, Scorp 7Pot ect. being about 3 to 10 times hotter than a hab, just a couple of those a week and I'm good to go! Great thread Nat!

Great article Nat and been watching this closely as there some trials in the U.K,Holland,U.S.A,Germany and a few other country's and as you say the trails are very encouraging indeed and Five stars my friend for bringing a subject that lots of men wont talk about and the fact that it might have a Profound affect on other cancers is just the icing on the cake ;)

I think it's pretty cool that the hot peppers we all love so much hold the very chemical that can save our lives if we're one of the people who will develop prostate cancer. From what I've read so far, that's the only form of cancer it affects. In the next couple of years, we'll find out how much more it does for us. It may well be one of those "While doing testing for this, we found it also does that" types of things. Let's hope it does a bunch of good things for us.

I lost my dad because of cancer and saw a lot of my patients die of it. So please guys: don't fear the Goldfinger! It might save your life! In Germany the examination is recommended every year and payed by the legal health insurance beginning at the age of 45 which is quite a bit late in my opinion.

Thanks for the post Nat,,Lost my dad while I was deployed to the gulf war of another cancer.Never got to see him ,he was gone before I got home.Any info would be great.

Reading this gave me a thought. My dear South East Asian wife of 14 years has never had a cold or flu, she seldom goes without the hottest chili on hand in her meals. And now she's complaining of being over weight at 44Kg & 150cm tall and 38yrs old ! Personally I can't see the weight problem, but interesting about her diet. We also only use olive oil in all our cooking. Maybe 2 to 3 litres a month. No health issues between us yet.

Yes trying to convince my wife and children..The wife is slowly trying to eat more and more peppers

Good stuff...I also eat lots of garlic and ginger...both proven antibiotic and antioxident type things. Even the green tea and coffee I drink has it's benefits. Go Nature!

so now to gather medical info,, so thanks for this Natgreenmeds and if anybody has any info be great and ill try figure out something and make a vid later

This is a very serious thread. Is there any word on if the "form" of the pepper matters? I am wondering if dehydrated/ground up pepper is as effective as fresh. And what about peppers cooked into sauces? Or pickled? During the winter, most of the pepper I consume is in the form of powder I shake onto food. Am I still being protected?
