Chipotle Adobo Sauce

As NECM is hinting at, if they are simply dried and not smoke-dried or smoked, you may need to toss them onto the smoker for 30 minutes to get the smoke flavor. Yes you can smoke dried peppers.
 
Did you try that or just google it? Looks like that recipe is to sell their seasoning. Links to their adobe. Don't need it!
 
It's a basic recipe:

I like a splash of toasted sesame oil in mine. It doesn't have to be the main oil as it's for flavor.
