Smoke Somethin

Got this char-griller premium kettle for my birthday, it says its a smoker too.

So after a little research and about 40 bucks for charcoal baskets and a pizza stone I'm gonna give it a shot.

Modified grate out of my old grill, had to cut the sides off, and hit it with a hammer a couple times so it would get past these bolts.

Forgot to add the apple wood, it wasn't that bad to open everything back up. Glad I took out some of the center of the old grate.

Iron mikes mustard Bbq for a binder and Montreal steak, some minced onions, salt and pepper on the rub.

Didn't get many pics, but my buddy and his family came over with some food to grill last night, and I already had a pork loin on the WSM. I cooked it to 160 IT and it was a little dry. I think my probes are off a little or something.

Had a T-bone and a rib eye, cooked medium to medium-well(that's how most of these buttheads like their steak.

Burgers, dogs, corn on the cob, baked potatoes, green beans, zucinni, grilled onions, and some of those popping jalapeno Doritos lol. I might have taken a nap afterwards.

Salt, pepper, lemon pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and a couple powders from the carniceria. Ancho and guajillo maybe, I tore the labels off and don't really remember.

So at around 7 I wrapped it and threw it in the oven for an hour at 400. It still wasnt quite done, but it was pretty frickin good still. I smoked one of gurus Sri Lanka cross pods, ate the top half of it, and it destroyed me. I tried to dilute it with pork, then bread, then milk, and I added sugar to my second glass of milk lol. My tolerance is probably down, but it really put the hurt to a spot on my tongue and roof of my mouth. Lol.

Used some of the vinegar based sauce that warrantman sent me. I ate way too much.
