Please Help

Hi,

I germinated a bhut jolokia seed, and this is what came of it 8 months later.
But it does not look like a ghost pepper, and I'm too chicken to take a bite and test the heat.
Could It be something else?

That looks like a Serrano. It will be hot, but nowhere near as hot as a Bhut Jolokia. Think a Jalapeno X 3.

Yea, looking at images of Serrano's it looks to be a match.
Okay, never tasted one before will give it a go and see if it will make a good sauce.

And I will never buy RAW seeds again, second time they let me down.

What do you mean, raw seeds?

It's just a brand here is south africa, google raw living.
I bought them at a nursery.

Oh, is a brand, ok, understand. I was thinking, again some ebay seeds...
Well, check Vendor vault section and maybe order seeds, probably not so cheap as RAW, but at least you grow what you buy.
Meanwhile enjoy the serranos, they look good, and the plant is nice loaded.

From the calyx and growth habit it looks like an annuum.
Could be a serrano

@karoo on the forum sent me some HOT seeds, last year May, they arrived about a month ago, and we stay in the same country!
Cannot wait for winter to start and go so I can plant some of them.

@juanitos That would be awesome of you, if you are in Oklahoma USA, gonna take like a 2 years for this south african post office to deliver it. :confused:

lol ouch, maybe if i add some bright beautiful american flags all over the letter they will deliver it faster.

Ah geez, I have a couple of these germinating right now... Guess we'll see what happens.
