Peaches-n-Cream corn war begins

I planted an 18' x 18' block(235 plants) on March 15 and sidedressed both sides of the rows on April 17th.

 
April 25th they started to perk up

 
I've been too busy to tend to the garden but took a walk today and noticed the war is starting early, I'm guessing a squirrel.

 
I can't believe the rapid growth and they're starting to tassle already.


 
 
 

Nice man! I'm also growing peaches and cream this year, but not at that capacity.

Checked the corn this morning and noticed a few were ready to pic. These aren't perfect but considering the rainy weather all spring I'll take it and wait for the others to start ripening.


Blanched, chilled and resting in the fridge for supper!!!
