Weird Food Combination?

No your not, some people say your weird to put ketchup on hot dogs.

"Peanut Butter and Kimchi Sandwich:
Of all the combinations we tried, this one—due to the appearance and the strong, fermented smell—was the most initially horrifying. But, just like the raw onion, the vinegary, pungent kimchi did a good job holding its own against the oftentimes overpowering peanut butter. The peanut butter, in turn, neutralized the aggressive kimchi just the right amount. One staffer loved this sandwich so much that she even made her own version several days later. "

Hey, my dad's family was quite poor when he was a kid.  They ate home made bread with a spread of lard on it.  It got real fancy if you added a slice of raw onion. Grandma would tell them if they didn't want that, they weren't hungry.

That sounds like something I might make.

I have heard that lard sanwiches, sometimes with sugar, were popular in the old days with the lumberjacks working in northern Maine. Quick energy for a physically demanding job.

I've got a liking for superhot peppers with ice cream. The fat of the ice cream knocks the burn level way down, so you can chop the peppers into great big pieces and really get the flavor. Scorpions or Carolina reapers with caramel vanilla ice cream is heavenly, chocolate bhutlahs with double fudge chocolate, etc. I've been called weird more than once because of it.

Come to think of it, I've been called weird for a lot of reasons. Hmmm.....
