Bottle lids?

Aren't you technically supposed to discard bottle lids after use and reuse the bottles with new lids? I have been saving my old lids and running them through the dishwasher with the bottles. I've looked extensively and all I can find is new bottles that come with lids. I must be missing something? FWIW I don't PH test my sauce and everything stays refrigerated so maybe reusing lids isn't a deal breaker anyways but I'm still curious.

Some caps do not have a liner, those can be washed and reused. Any caps with a liner should not be reused. Some bottle companies list the bottles and caps separately, so you can just buy new caps. If you call Specialty Bottle directly, you can order as many or as few as you want, and they have different colors as well as metal caps. If using a metal cap that has been HFH (heated) it should not be reused for HFH. They are probably ok to reuse for refrigerated, but would not reuse them for something you want to be shelf stable.

Hope this helps.

Yes I was simply googling and looking on Amazon. For all that matters I also considered using mason jars. I have tons of them in the cupboard not being used for anything. Possibly even a squeeze bottle. The spritzer bottles I bought last year are really cool and professional looking but kind of a pain too as it doesn't take long and they're empty. I like hot sauce but not so hot that a few drops is all you need.
