water Self watering/sub irrigation bucket

Im doing all containers this year and Im making some from totes and 5gal buckets. Are there any problems with peppers in these? Ive bough one Earthbox and plan on a couple more as well. I was wondering if there was anyone using these. Thanks

I've used these in all different forms and they all work great. Peppers love wet feet and dry stems.
All the methods that stick to this really works well . Kratky , bottom watering and Sub Irrigated Planters.
I have done SIP's in all sizes as well , from 2 liter bottles up to 50 gallon containers , the principle stays the same.

Have not used the Earthbox though.

Im making the 5 gal bucket ones and my hold up is wondering if I can move the wick pot off Center a bit. 3 - 11.3oz coffee cans (plastic) fit great in the bottom for screen support and I want to use one as a wick and avoid having to cut the center hole. Is this workable? Thank you for your reply.

Should work , does not need to be center.

Thanks again. Ive just been thinking that it would be a pain to redo these things because of something that I was missing but Ive looked everywhere and nothing says it must be in the middle. Ive got this Earthbox and the wicks are to the side so it should work. Im looking forward to seeing the results.
