I searched and read several threads and didn't find a satisfactory answer so I'll post this.
I was given some of these seeds this year and have one plant growing nicely. A very pretty plant. Blooms are purple. The leaves have a purple shade to them and the small peppers are purple at this time. I understand they go through several color changes before reaching red. Here is a pic I copied from someone else's post from several years back.
I would like to know if you can eat these ornamental peppers? The closest answer I found said they taste like a typical ornamental annum. Well, that's pretty vague for a newbie like myself.
Should they be eaten?
Are they edible?
Or is this strictly an ornamental. It is a very pretty plant. I'll will definitely try to overwinter this one.
Nice pic by the way! My camera wouldn't do justice like this!
