How Do You Grind Your Peppers?

Ripe pods are coming off the plants in earnest now.  My dehydrator will be delivered today.  Now I need something to grind them into powder.  What should I get?  What do you use and how?  Looking for an inexpensive solution.  Thanks!

I saw an interesting way to make flakes. First you dry halved or quartered pods about half way or a little more. Then you run them through one of the old style manual meat grinders and spread it out in a thin layer to continue drying. Use the insert that gives the coarsest grind. Ive seen some mention of a little sea salt added to it during the final dry.

I use an earlier version of the dehydrator you just ordered to dry them and an old coffee grinder dedicated to that purpose to grind.  I don't move huge volumes though and I'm fine with a quick and easy powder grind. If the pods aren't thoroughly dry though it's a pita - and definitely don't let them sit around after turning off the dehydrator or they'll quickly pull ambient humidity and hello pita.

I think SMDS's method and saiias' method can be really effective for a quality work, such as flaking peppers like aleppo or urfa biber.
