Radicle/bottom of stem pushing plant up

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me, so keep that in mind. But it appears the radicle on my seedlings are pushing the plant up instead of rooting down into the seed starter, and as of noon today they were standing straight up. But now 5 hours later they are droopy. I'm thinking their roots may not be deep enough? Or maybe both could be happening? Pics attached.

this one is a tad droopy (just added water, they usually bounce back after more water) but maybe this is happening because the radicle isn't rooting down?

**edit: lol. This whole process amazes me and makes me chuckle. Within 10 minutes of posting this and watering the droops, they are now standing at attention.
