Good morning Powelly (Or is afternoon on that side of earth?),
I'd look around for this automotive product, 3M General Purpose 45 Spray Adhesive, or its craft store equivalent for ease of application. Just make sure you clear the residue by turning the can upside down and spraying until no more glue is emitted otherwise it may be plugged the next time you try to use.

second on the emergency blankets. works amazingly on a 27 gal black tote in full sun and it never got hot. foil almost cooked my plants.
