Pepper identification

Hi I'm new to this and I brought a pepper plant from the Aldi supermarket, great plant and produced some really nice peppers, the only problem are I have no idea what they are, I thought they were Jalapenos but they seem different.
There about 4-5 inches 3-4cm thick and green at the moment, all the label says is Shakira pepper plant, but nothing comes up with that name?

Welcome.
You might want to post your question in the pepper i.d. Forum since this is the welcome forum.
Pics would probably help.
Welcome again

I have moved this thread to the proper forum, though I will leave the other in welcome for now.  Pics of the plant, its flowers and the fruits themselves are very helpful if you're looking to ID a pepper.

Welcome to THP Deans peppers.  Please avoid making double posts going forward.  :)

Thanks

Paul, where is that post you made about info that should be required when asking for a pepper ID? I looked for it, but could not find it. I've been seeing lots of "what is this" posts, most of them without pictures of the plant, flowers or even ripe pods. It is impossible to venture an educated (or even wild-ass guess) without these items. :P

Funny, I was putting a post together about bird's eye when I saw your notice!

Quick edit: I had to agree with Pookie, people don't read these as well as the information posted at the top of the different forums.

Here's some pictures
hi dean, you can upload photos here directly or you can upload them to a photo storage website like imgur.com and then copy them to your post. when you get pics posted we will be able to most likely figure out what you have.

Thanks Paul.

My season is going slow. A cool, super wet spring put everything behind. But I'm finally starting to get a few ripe pods.

Are you going to make to Open Fields this year?
