breeding Hybrids

So I had a cross pollinated Fish (no variegation) last year and saved the seeds. All 3 that I planted are different...lol. They're all hot like Fish, but all have different pod shapes and colors...guess I'll save seeds again and see what I get.

As a rule of thumb, it takes 6 to 8 generations to stabilize a cross.
 
Usually, the second generation is where you find the most variation.
 
So, try to discern which variation is showing the traits you like.  It's completely up to you.  It could be plant health, plant productivity, pepper taste, bumpiness of the pepper, heat of the pepper, etc, etc...
