I have 6 aji limo plants and they all are getting pretty bad sunburn. I'm just wondering if they will recover from the sunburn or it's over for them. They went from green to purple fairly quickly. I did get a couple of yellows and some reds off the plants but the majority look like this.

If both the yellow and the reds are showing purple while immature, it sounds like they grew near and crossed with a variety that produces anthocyanin in the pod. I'm curious, how many are supposed to be yellows and how many are supposed to be reds? And you said both the yellows and the reds are all showing purples?
They were all supposed to be yellow. 3 plants were from seeds I saved from peppers I bought from Trent and 3 were from seeds bought from him. I know that they were open pollenated and they were supposed to be either red or yellow. I'm getting a few yellows from one plant and some reds from another, but all 6 plants are pretty full of pods that went from green to purple that looks just like sunburn on jalapenos. I didn't know if they would ripen out of the sunburn or if they are going to stay purplish colored.

It's possible to get plants that grow yellow and plants that grow red from different seeds that came from the same pod, which would indicate cross-pollination or an unstabilizated mother plant as to mature color. Factors that would be helpful currently in differentiating between sunburn and anthocyanin mutation include the uniformity of the dark coloration and whether all pods are affected, including those more shielded by the leaf canopy. Sunburn will be masked to a greater or lesser degree by mature fruit color, showing more on the lighter colored pods and less or not at all on the reds.

I dont think they are suffering sun burn at all.
