G'day from Brisbane, Australia

Hi,
I'd like to introduce myself to the Forum. My name's Steve and tag is "tokemon". I'm an avid chilli fan and love all varieties of chillies and the various flavours and growing characteristics of all the strains.
I especially like the hotter varieties and have grown chillies for many years for cooking and sharing with friends. Currently have Serranos, Asian Birds Eye, Tepins, Manzanos, Tobascos and Habaneros in fruit. Brisbane's a great (subtropical) climate for chillies and they can be grown year round.
I look forward to improving my growing skills from this site and learning more about these wonderful plants.
cheers
tokemon.

welcome to THP from Sydney Tokemon

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
As said I'm from Brisbane, Australia. I live in western suburbs, near Kenmore.

I'm currently growing my chillies in 300mm pots. In past years I've grown in the ground but found it very difficult to control ants and scale insects. It's also easier to mix up rich and free draining soils growing in pots.

cheers
Steve:lol:
