I originally placed an order with Atlantic Pepper Seeds on Nov. 7, 2019, I got an email on Nov. 9, 2019 that the order was shipped. I had not received it by Dec. 9, 2019 so I called and left a message. Jason contacted me back by email and said he would reship the order. He resent my order on Dec. 12, 2019 and I received it today Dec. 26, 2019. He did this at no extra charge to me so at this point I will consider Jason a stand-up guy running a stand-up company. I plan to order more from him as he has a huge selection. More details on the whole ordeal on my glog post #453,   http://thehotpepper.com/topic/70364-skullbikers-2019-container-and-kratky-glog/page-23

I put in an order with APS two days ago and emailed a follow-up request shortly after.  Jason got back to me quickly and was accommodating and generous in doing so.  This is my first order with APS, and while there's a lot more to being a great seed company than simply good customer service, it's a great start and it bodes well that the operation is run professionally in other aspects as well.

I'm hoping APS turns out to be a "keeper." they seem to have lots of less common varieties, which is really cool.

Got my order from Atlantic Pepper Seeds today.  It took a while to arrive (far east Canada to far west U.S. over the Holidays), but I see by the postmark that this was a result of mail service rather than the vendor ship date.  Jason/APS included a free extra variety and used a kinda cool foam pocket to protect the seeds, which you can see in the photo held open with a letter opener.  Upon very close inspection, I can see they went through routing rollers, AKA the "crunchers," but the indentations from the seeds being pressed against the baggies are almost imperceptible.  Given that I've had acceptable germination rates when the rollers crushed the seeds so hard they left actual perforations in the baggies, the protection seem adequate and I'm not expecting any adverse effect on the seeds.

So far, so good.  Next I'll see how germination goes. The appearance of the seeds bodes well!

For those who have ordered from him: how are germination rates and are plants healthy (no seed-born virus)?

Considering to order from him...

Hey CD - Got an update for Dieter? See below....

Sure, NECM.   IIRC I planted only 2 seeds, both of the Ecuador Sweet Rocoto.  I had 2 plants germinate in reasonable times.  They've been at least normally vigorous and haven't shown sign of any pathogen.  Both continue to thrive.  I believe the seeds were sold OP, and while it's too early to confirm they're on-pheno, nothing yet suggests either is other than true to type.

Ahayastani - I've purchased from APS only this one time and 2 seeds isn't a big sample set, but up through current the experience has been top-notch.  I've yet to confirm the seeds produce true, which is important to me, but it's definitely a so far so good.  Good luck yourself if you go forward with them.

Thank you for your quick replies.

CaneDog, even though your sample set indeed is too limited to make bold statements, I'd say that 2/2 is encouraging enough to not loose interest. I think I'm going to order a few seeds, see if Kanuck mail can make it to my place

Has anyone had issues with APS seeds not growing true to form? I have 2 verities I am fairly confident that are not what I ordered.

7pot Brain x Reaper: Only ripens to a rich yellow pod is very different than the photos
80% Germination

White Bhut Jolokia:
0% Germination from the entire packet

Murupi White: Ripens to off white, not a major issue but not as described
60% Germination

I'm currently growing a couple of their strains and I dont remember having noticeable germ rate/speed issues but I do know that some ghost peppers are kinda stubborn and can take many weeks before sprouting (solid gold bhut for example). My SRP look a bit contorted and off pheno but they taste so good that it doesn't matters! There's probably a lot of young crosses in their huge catalogue and I'm pretty sure they are all open pollinated plants so that could explain some differences.

You should contact Jason at APS, he usually answers quite promptly and seems to be a cool dude too.

Thanks for the suggestion. The white bhuts were on the same gets mat as the other peppers for up to a week or two after the last few stragglers of the other types fermented.

I'll reach out to Jason once the pods on everything matures so I can confirm the types I was sent. It's too bad we only have a few months left of the season (Quebec/Ontario) and I am just discovering this now. Always 2021 I guess!

I'm afraid I'm in the same boat as you my friend; in less than a month and a half we'll be done 'till next spring her in Qc!! also, for the off-white murupi maybe just let them sit on the plant a bit longer; if they are like the coyote zhan white, they start green, turn creamy off-white and then get closer to white as time past.
