Of all the hot sauces i've tried, i can't ever recall coconut being amongst the ingredients. I've not seen it mentioned on here either.
The thing is, it's used in Indian food a lot, and most curries i've made i use either fresh coconut/coconut milk & a ton of hot peppers - a perfect combination.
What about hot sauces though, anyone tried it? or is there a reason why it's not used.
My second batch of hot sauce was a triumph with a combination of high lime/pineapple & scotch bonnet/naga moritch for a starter.
I'm thinking about adding fresh coconut (flesh) to my 3rd batch.
What do you think?
