I'm an occasional griller from Texas who wants to get more serious.
Both grill and smoker cooking. Seafood and chicken/burgers are my
favorites, but I do love some tender ribs and bbq brisket. Man, I'm
getting hungry just typing this! haha

Welcome Aboard!!
Glad to have ya here. I do alot of grillin' and am working my way into smokers. Hopefully we can both gain some valuable info here on the fine art of cooking meat in a smoker. I also want to start making my own Jerky. Me likes Jerky!

Thanks everyone. I'm just south of the Houston area.
We are not too far from NASA's Johnson Space Center.

TheHEMI is my name because TheHEMI.com is my site!
I'm not necessarily a "Mopar man", as I love all flavors
of cars, but the HEMI is definitely my favorite motor.

Greetings Scott, welcome to the Inner Sanctum.

A fellow motorhead, a welcome sight. Not to mention a MOPAR person. Hmmm, I always thought MOPAR stood for "Mostly Old Parts And Rust"...Sorry, couldn't resist, I'm a Ford Head, I know, Found On Road Dead...But I always prefer First On Race Day.

I've always preferred the Ford acronym expanded to:

Fix Or Repair Daily

It's been true for at least one Ford I've owned in the past, but my current car is a Jeep...so no worries there for the time being.

Happiness is seeing Texassssss in your rear view mirror!

But then I would have to say that since I'm from Oklahoma. Right?

Welcome aboard hemi.....

Which is fine of course, but shootin' a mid 12 second 1/4 mile will beat most things on the road...To think, it's street legal, and the REAL work on it hasn't even begun yet.
