Fatalii smackdown

I started a new thread, now that the framework is all in place for this comparison/smackdown.
Good luck everyone, you're going to need it. I'm already thinking of ways to expand my poly-tunnel to fit my huge fatalii plants come spring:lol:

my lord, last place won't come until march of next year when the aussies finally get it together...

Hell, if our winter next year is anything like this one mine will still be producing straight into next march.

Well - is there a last day? The plants can live for years and I don't want to wait forever for my skunk. :)

Hey, stay away from my skunk! Your plant is way ahead of mine! My first hasn't even broken the soil yet!

comparison pictures?

mine as of 01-25-09

Best Fatalii...Chocolate...by the way...I don't think we said but I have red and chocolate growing to....should those be eliminated from the contest since I may be the only one growing them? I think I will voluntarily withdraw them from the smackdown...

mine were about a 8 inches shorter than yours (assuming you are 6' tall) and grew some healthy pods...I love 'em...

Nah, he's 4' tall standing 15' behind the plant making it look huge;)

My fataliis are growing slowly. i think they're doing better than some of the others, but are still slow growers with my crummy setup. i need better lights.

AJ...how deep do you set the seeds? Do you germinate them first and than plant? What everyone else?

they do grow slow for about a month or so then they take off...at least that is what mine did last year...

I planted these about 1/2" to see if it would help with having hats on...as you see in the pic, a couple still have their husk in place...they were planted in wet, seedstarting mix preheated to 86F...as it works out, that was perfect since the top of the mix dries out first and stays damp but not soaked...

oops, got to ramblin...

But shouldn't the "skunk" award go to the winner:lol: just kiddin...hehe

With a lot of luck and some unique chemicals, hopefully mine will look like that "plant" behind you!

Here is my Fatalli tray that sit under 24 hr. 400w MH lamp. Plants are almost 2 weeks since seed. Room stays a constant 75F and plenty of air exchange. Good luck to everyone.

You're not rambling at all. You gave me thoughts for a second round. I have some pots that aren't opening that i might ditch and start fresh. I put my seeds barely 1/4in down. I think that was a mistake.

Cappy...those plants look huge already...and to think you didn't invite me to breakfast...

I wouldn't ditch anything fine if you have enough room...plant more seeds....plant more seeds...plant more seeds...

:repeating to self, plant more seeds, etc.:

OK, I have 18 Fatalii's up now and have not done anything to them yet except stick them under the fluorescents. In about 2 weeks when they are big enough to take an injection I'm going to start feeding them all sorts of sh*t(double top secret stuff). I also have a couple of other little experiments going on with them I took one with the seed husk on and cut it off with a razor blade, cotlyedons and all to see if it will grow something out of the top. If it does grow something then I am going to compare it to one that germinated perfectly with no husk on it. And the Fatalii with 3 cotlyedons will also be compared to the same good one through the season to see if it is inferior or superior to the normal one.
