It's that time again.

Well, I figured the beginning of March would be a good time to start getting my new plants started. I'm not growing as many different varieties this year because I only have so much room on the patio. I did start my seeds using the papertowel method today though.(Worked good for me last year.) I'm growing Naga Morrich, Peach Hab, Purira, Hanoi Red, and Orange Bell peppers. I can't wait to get a house sometime. Then I'm going ALL out on peppers, as well as just about everything else. I love a big garden with lots of fresh fruits, and veggies.

Do you leave your seeds in the paper towel until they germinate, or do you just do a 24 to 48 hour soak?

I leave them in the paper towel until they just barely get a little white sprout sticking out.(Have to check them daily.) When it's barely noticable I plant them about a 1/4 inch in some seed starting mix in a clear egg container. I just keep the soil damp and under a grow light covered and able to get light. It's kind of an odd way to do it, but it works really good for me. I'm happy with how they popped up last year.

I'm having complete failure of the Corno Di Toro Red and Yellow thus far. Been three weeks and nothing, and that's unusual for them. So, I'm thinking of taking the remaining seeds and soaking them to see if I can get any germination from these packs. If not, I'll write Tomato Grower's Supply and see what's going on with these seeds.

I hope it works out for you Pam. If they are all duds that would really suck too. :(
