Well, I suppose I finally took the plunge and am now legal to sell plants in the State of Texas. I got my tax number this morning.

My first attempt at selling plants/seedlings will be at First Monday Trade Days in Weatherford, Texas, 3/4 April 2009.

I am excited and scared at the same time...I just want to sell some pepper plants locally to get a feel for the business...

you guys kill me...giggling here...

OK...first day was not much of a success...only sold 19 plants but then I forgot everybody doesn't get every other friday off like I do...got orders for 20 tomorrow from people that wanted to pay with plastic or a check...nope...cash only at this "garden center"...

here is a pic of my setup...very simple...tomorrow is going to be a busy day...

Geez, AJ. I sell 13 plants in a week and feel great, you sell 19 (or 39 counting orders) in a day and feel you didn't have success?

Then again, I have this philosophy - shoot for the moon but be satisfied if you hit the top of tall trees!

so how was the germination on those Bhut seed ?
I noticed you had several plants for sale, I kept just 1 plant from last season and several seeds from pablo's last crop.

your gonna have some fun with this aj,
Im waiting on some 7 pod/pot seed from oz...comeon Billy Boy U can do it!

Anyhow, that doesn't sound disappointing... that sounds great! more and more people will get to know you in time. people will be all over your plants. :)

Looks very professional AJ. Good luck with it.

Something tells me this is just the beginning of a very fun and occasionally frustrating adventure. I hope you continue to share it with us.

Fantastic work AJ!!!

One little quibble: IMO the red text on red is very hard to read..perhaps black would be better?

Good going though, wish I could do what yer doing..rock on bro!

P.S., I'm sure ya already did, but should make up a batch of biz cards ya can hand out at gigs and stuff plus for the stand of course.. ;)

Thanks again all...it is 10:38 PM and I am just getting home...a couple of the vendors next to me and I had a few adult beverages after the sale..

I had a pretty good day...sold 76 plants...I am very pleased with my first outing trying to sell...sold a total of 95 plants Friday and Saturday...I am very tired and buzzed....going to bed...will write more tomorrow...

Sounds great AJ. Sounds like an incredible sale with the benefit of making a new drinking friend. This retirement plan you have may end up being a whole lot more fun than anticipated. BTW what is going to be your radius for selling and are you also going to be selling fresh pods later in the year?
