Monstrous Turkey Burger

After all the popper madness lately, needed some "normal" for food today.

I'd gotten 5lbs of ground turkey, so a bigazz burger seemed the thing to do.

A Whole Lotta ground turkey with Mushrooms, onion, habs, buffalo chipotle sauce + chipotle powder, sea salt and black pepper, majoram, cilantro, kechup, lea & perrins, garlic salt, a buttload of cayenne, sambal olek, some breadcrumbs and the leftover egg from egg-washing the Poppers yesterday to help hold it all together.

Yeah, it's more meatloaf than burger, but hey, it's turkey...it needs some flavorin' up.


Gettin Jiggy in my 10" Circulon..it's great for browning meats because of the ridges. It's some kinda alloy that is as heavy as, and acts like cast iron, but is non-stick.

OK, burger is done..added a bunch of Chiptole Cheddar and decided I wanted some onions ON the burger too....

Got the beast onto some toasted 12-grain, with my HabBaconaise and more Buffalo Chipotle sauce, and some hamburger dill pickle.

It's masssive..i can barely get my mouth around it, but dang it's good. :-D

Ooh, a turkey patty melt. I don't like turkey burgers but you make me think twice.

I hadn't thought of it in that way, but yeah I guess it is.

Yuppers. The irony is right when I finally got done chomping on it, a buddy called to go out and drink beer. Aieee!

I was stuffed as all hell, but still couldn't pass up beer. :D

Well officially you would have buttered the bread and cooked it that way in the pan with the burger assembled, so it probably isn't a patty melt. But it's close (and healthier). Looks tasty.
