#1606811 Year of the Ghost 2019

Posted by Ghost Pepper Revolution on Yesterday, 11:47 PM

My preferred outdoor temp is around 80f, so you know I really hate my weather right now. Long term plan is to be somewhere in your area.

I dont blame you, our temps are the envy of the nation this time of year :metal:

Update: seeds are poppin like crazy, new varieties each day. Woohoo

You guys are just trying to sabotage them. Everyone knows that you gotta put them in the freezer for 4 months to make them think its winter then plant them

Go for it next chance you have.
I use half-strength Shultz Instant liquid
fertilizer as the rooting solution. Not very
hip, but what I had on the shelf 😉 Seems
to work okay 🤓

For the more woody stuff, I use Rootone powder.
Very easy to use, especially in an AeroGarden.

Interesting, I have rooting hormone too. Once all the seedlings vacate the house Ill try rooting your way in the aero (last year I had aphids in my house) wont make that mistake again 😏

That was intended as innuendo. ;)

I'm only on my second season growing; you won't catch me jumping on someone's technique unless they've done something truly, painfully obvious (like leaving the bleach or chlorine out of their hydro nutes).

Lol now I get it. 🙊

#1606488 BEGINNER IN NEED OF HELP - Growing DWC scotch bonnets and ghosts

Posted by Ghost Pepper Revolution on 17 January 2019 - 09:15 PM

I am starting this weekend ghost peppers and scotch bonnets, I have two 15 gallon tubs with 8 holes for 3 inch net cups each and i am using Maxigrow for the early stages.

I have two questions-

1) how often should i change my water because ive heard for every week to every month
2) can i grow them in the same tubs or should I do one tub each because im gonna breed them

If your breeding Id keep em separate unless theres no fan or wind blowing then its just no touchy touchy of branches. 👻 Ive noticed that the water tends to be good up to around 4 weeks or so from personal experience.

I mean, how long can it take? Maybe your technique needs work...?  :D

These guys are buggers, my aero setup is perfect on multiple fronts and they arent popping on mine either

thanks, GPR.

I think that if I were doing woodier cuttings, I'd use my
AeroGarden. I haven't had much luck rooting those either.

I guess it's nice to have an emergency technique available
to save small seedlings rather than throw them away. It saved
my PdN x BMJ grow one year, when I only had two cells
germinate, both doubles. I was able to wind up with 4 healthy
plants.

Very true, emergency 🚨 come up often with peppers. Everything I see about cuttings says to use the small new growth like you did. Ive done tons of cuttings no successful ones with 🌶🌶🌶

55% on the PdN x BMJ violet seed is good. You may get more...
Still pulling' for your white seed.

They are slow goers, glad Marc is killin it. Keep up the solid work
