Carolina Reaper Plant Problem

09 November 2018 - 11:24 PM

So over the past week some of the leaves on my Carolina Reaper plant have randomly turned half brown/grey and fell off. I water this plant every few days and make sure it does not get too wet. It is also kept at a constant tempature of around 72 degrees and is under grow lights in my room. Does anyone know what may be wrong?

Anyone Know How To Start Plants Inside During The Fall/Winter?

05 November 2018 - 01:40 PM

Does anyone here know how to germinate seeds indoor when it is cool outside? I normally germinate my seeds by putting them into a coffee filter and into a baggy and putting it on the window. But, it won't work when it is cool outside. I tried the same method but using a heat mat and it almost seemed it was too hot for the seeds. How do I germinate seeds indoors? I am starting super early this year.

Is This What a Pollinated Cayanne Pepper (Flower) Looks Like?

26 August 2018 - 10:27 AM

Hello, recently my Cayanne Pepper plants have produced their second "round" of flowers. The first time they did this all of the flowers were still on and I left for a trip and when came back and I could clearly see the peppers. Now while I am still home they flowered again but now they are (what I think) just starting to produce a second round of peppers? I believe that is what they are doing now, but I never seen them at this stage before. I have only seen flower and obvious pepper. Do these flowers look like they have been pollinated or are they dropping unpolinated? I just want to make sure, I think I can see a little pepper forming. Thank you for reading.

What Is Wrong With My Cayanne Pepper Plant?

16 August 2018 - 03:04 PM

Hello, I have a Cayanne Pepper plant in a pot (plastic cup) and there seems to be an issue that has been going on for a while now. The leaves have a light weird coloration and also have spots on them. I give this plant a healthy amount of water but never let it get too wet and I fertilized it a few weeks ago with the same amount of fertilizer I gave my other peppers (which had no problem and actually became a darker green and grew more). But it did nothing to this plant. This particular plant is growing very slowly while the others are all growing quickly. Does anyone know what may be wrong with it and how to fix it? Thank you for reading.

How Far Apart Should My Pepper Be So They Don't Cross Polinate?

11 August 2018 - 11:03 AM

How far apart should my peppers be so they do not cross polinate? I might have to move some, they are about three feet apart but I want to save seeds for the winter.
