We Need Your Help!

08 March 2012 - 09:35 PM

Hey Everyone

Danny Boy's has entered The TearJerker, a 2011 THPA superhots winner, in Wal-Mart's Get On The Shelf contest. Even though we do not fully support the whole idea of big corporate America, we understand that using their money could help us break open the shelves for some real products. This means a chance for all of us that want a phenomenal product readily available that provides some real heat is at grasp. Please help us get on the shelf and give back to the chiliheads of the world with our great products. Please vote http://www.getonthes...Jerker-Original or text 5193 to 383838. Please wish us some luck and support your love for REAL hot sauce! Thank you everyone!

The TearJerker from Danny Boy's

05 January 2012 - 08:08 PM

First off, let me introduce myself and my products. My name is Danny "Danny Boy" O'Shea. I started Danny Boy's Hot Sauce Co back in Sept 2011 to start the distribution of my baby, The TearJerker. Being fairly new to the entire hot sauce and manufacturing industry, it has been a challenge fighting through the BS to get my sauce onto the market and into the hands of chileheads and heat fanatics everywhere. A professional chef for 10 years, creating the recipe came as second nature. As for most chileheads and foodies alike, that's the joyful part. Turning passion into a product that is shared with thousands of other fans that share your common ground is more satisfying than any single dish serving could ever put out. It's just plain goodness!

So that brings me to the TearJerker. My satisfyingly wicked creation that was an instant hit the first night I created it. I was the chef for a little Mexican place at the time and it was the first time I had ever tried to make a hot sauce. I got my hands on some bhut jolokia pods by chance from my produce purveyor so I didn't wanna  let them go to waste. So I just started doing what I do best and presto...it was there. Call it skill. Or just call it plain old luck. Any way you look at it, Im proud to share it with all of you!

Tips for top notch peppers

05 January 2012 - 06:09 PM

My dad is going to grow some red savinas, pot 7's and bhut's for me. He's not farmer Iggy but he has managed to grow a solid amount of winter vegtables and some leafy greens in his massive garden. Any tips to making sure he cultivates these strains successfully? He has a good soil mix but I don't believe he tests the ph. The garden is in Florida and it is partially shaded so the weather is partial. There's a great irrigation system and drainage. Anything else you can think of it is greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Danny

Fairly New but Hot as Hell!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Danny "Danny Boy" O'Shea. I'm the owner of Danny Boy's Hot Sauce Co and creator of The TearJerker. I have been working on hot sauces and related for about three years now. I never really had a huge interest in the chile world until I had a great little taste of Tongues on Fire and I was hooked. I used my 10 years of restaurant experience to develop some hot sauces myself and decided to ditch the drama of the kitchen and start my own endeavor. Now I have had my recipes developed with a copacker (Endorphin Farms, freakin awesome!!) and I'm working the business side. I've been reading everyone's posts and there seems to be alot of love on these forums and in the industry period. Anyone that has some pointers I would love the help! Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you all!

Thanks
Danny

I'm looking for an affiliate for growing

13 December 2011 - 11:48 AM

Hi all,

I'm running a small hot sauce production and I was thinking about starting a section on my website committed to growing peppers. The big problem is I do not have the time to write this section. If anyone is interested in working with me on this I would love to have your help and in return we can help each other grow (no pun intended). Thanks!  -Danny
