I have 4 batches of Smoked Manzano powder. First time trying to sell the stuff, but been making it for friends for a while. This is really just a test run to see if folks like it and are willing to buy it. I'm not looking to get rich, just trying to make a little $$$ on the side to get momma off my back about my pepper garden.

What you get...

Here are 2 lbs of Manzanos going in the smoker...


Smoked/dehydrated/flaked...back in the dehydrator.


The Package...I will send 1 each Smoked Manzano(.7oz) and Smoked Jalapeno (full bag)...and 20+ seeds each for red and orange Manzano's.

Manzanos make my absolute favorite powder. Unlike any other pepper's flavor. Good on anything and hot enough for anyone, but not too hot either. Manzanos have a slow building and extremely LONG hot burn.
Only asking $10 per package...send it enclosed in a SASBE. First four to PM get them. If it looks like folks are interested and would like more of the stuff...I'll figure out how to get paid through paypal???

Does anyone cull pods to try to grow bigger pods? I have 4 mucho nacho plants that are producing like crazy, but none of them are up to or even near the 6" mark they claim is achievable. Each plant has 30-40 pods on it though. Thinking if I kept them in waves of 10 each plant until they are about 3/4 the size I would like then letting a smaller 10 start up might help them grow bigger. I also have some Big Jims that I was going to give the longest pod contest a go with, so wondering the same thing there. I think on them I will keep 1 or 2 of the best looking pods on each plant until they are done, then let them produce at will...not too worried about suffering a on the production #'s. I have plenty of green chilis in the freezer, and if I harvested 20 a pop with the Mucho Nacho's I would have ample for a nice tray of poppers for the family.

Anyone tried this?

gnslngr was gracious enough to send me several unique seed varieties in a trade. I am wondering if anyone can provide some photos/info for each. I.E. plant size, color, flavor...

Hey quick question. I had a couple seeds sprout with 3 cotyledons which was cool...but I had a red hab that sprouted with only one...it seems to be doing fine except its lagging behind. No sign of first leaves yet. The others are WAY ahead. It looks healthy except the single leaf is standing straight up in the air, and it doesn't seem to be growing. Anyone else ever see this?

The single is the third from left front row...I'll try to take a closer shot tomorrow. This was from about 3 days ago. The others are taking off and this one still looks the same...is it gonna catch up, or fizzle? I've got 3 more red habs growing, so no biggie. Just never seen it.

Ok, so the cat is eating the leaves of my ornamental peppers. This isn't a huge deal, but I will soon be moving my superhot seedlings to that window. I tried some cayenne powder on top of the soil of a few test seedlings and the cat left them alone, but once the plants get a little bigger I don't think the cayenne on the soil will matter. How about misting with lightly soapy water? I am afraid that if it is strong enough to deter the cat it might hurt the plant if left on? I know there are commercially available options, but if you read the ingredient list it is usually stuff off the spice rack anyway. Anyone else had this problem or know a good solution?
