Sweet & Hot Beans
2 cans of pork & beans
1 lb of bacon
2 coarsely chopped onions
1/2 box of light brown sugar
Your favorite pepper powder
Cut the bacon into pieces and cook over a medium/low fire until cooked, but not crispy. Add your onion and saute' until clear. Add the brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Make sure the fire is low enough not to crystallize or caramelize the sugar. Add the beans and cook on low, stirring occasionally until hot. Add your favorite pepper powder to taste and enjoy it with some ribs, brisket, BBQ chicken, or whatever you happen to toss on the grill that day! Great with a homemade cider/mustard slaw on the side!

Far as I can tell there are two options on a posted status.... delete, and lock. How about an edit button so the anal retentive folks like me can go edit a misspelling or missed word in a status update without having to delete it and completely redo it? Just a thought.
I think I know the answer to this, but I'm curious to see if anyone has tried dehydrating peppers and other fruits at the same time. Peppers on one or two trays, fruits like banana slices, etc on other trays. Have you experienced any flavor or heat transfer? I'm sure some of the pepper liquids/oils would transfer to the other fruits through vaporization or in aerosol form.
