Looking for MOA Bonnet seeds

17 February 2014 - 08:22 PM

I am loving my bonnets these days. Dried, fresh, powdered, pureed or sauces. It doesn't matter.

This year is my first grow. I got about 20 seedlings in mini greenhouse.

So, I am looking for some MOA Bonnet seeds and/ or other types of bonnets.

Tell Whatcha got. I can pay you or do some trading.

New dehydrator help_jerky

25 December 2013 - 10:51 PM

I am very excited to say that I got my first dehydrator for Christmas. My awesome wife has heard me talk about peppers, powders, sauce and such for so long. I think she wants me to try it on my own.

I think I am starting out with sweet and spicy jerky. I just moved a venison roast from freezer to refrigerator side. I hope it mostly grass by morning. But I need to get my recipe and drying times and temps down.

If anyone wants to help then please feel free. The dehydrator is a Nesco Professional if that's helps.

Thank you. Ben.

Spicy Tomato Juice

26 November 2013 - 09:01 PM

I wanna make some. Kinda like the V8 juice but obviously hot. Anyone ever made any or have recipe?

Tomatoes

Carrots

Primo's

Celery

What else?

Habanero's

28 July 2013 - 07:58 PM

I have been hooked on chocolate habs for several days. I almost crave them. I am definitely becoming a junkie.

Seems like there is a certain flavor that tends to hang around after eating some. Question is do all habs seem to have a distinctive similar flavor. Or is it just with chocolate habs. And is there another pepper that seems to have the same flavour.

Newbie that's just wondering.

Starting out slow

19 July 2013 - 08:43 PM

I just got started last month. I know I am kinda late in the season. My wife had the green thumb and I got the grunt work down pat. ;)  We have a few plants going right now that we might see a small harvest. Jalapeno, habanero and cayenne.

So since this is the grow tech I would like some opinions on things I need to be picking up over the winter to be ready for next year.

I wanna do pots only. So what size smart pots?

I have been looking for diy materials. I was actually able to be given some bread crates. I could see these in a greenhouse or using them to set pots on to get them off the ground.

Just interested to hear what y'all would recommend to a rookie.

Thanks for your time.
