Made me feel good to sit, listen, and watch. Why wood? Is it a wind thing?

Do you mean the pieces of wood I have holding up my plants? I just make do with what I have available to me. I'd much rather something less intrusive (i.e. bamboo stakes), but the only place I found them cheap was a local dollar store and I bought out what they had. lol

I know I've been pretty quiet in the past few months.. but I've taken to doing short video updates of my greenhouse this season at least once a week.. Here is the latest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9nNLJbyYxU&t=7s

Well it's set available to public, but my guess is that you're one of those folks that don't have an account.. So, sadly no. lol .. I do intend to host a contest here on THP at some point to give back to the folks here since I've gotten a lot of help over the years. :)

Seems decent but, if you're not actually making poppers with them, why not try it with salted padrons?

I've never tried salted padrons before, but one could certainly get creative with the recipe. I just thought it looked like a cool idea. :)

I have to scrap all the seedlings I started in the past month or so... @#^&.. evil aphids. Have to pick new varieties because many I wanted I don't have more seeds for. *sigh*

Do you mean actual lemon and lime fruit? If so, I can certainly give that a shot. I have tried a large tray with a with mixed with yellow food coloring before and that had a fairly good result, but it was tricky since it only seemed to work if the tray was below the branches for the aphids to drop onto.. obviously that won't work for seedlings. lol ... Thanks for the advice! :)

so i did a quick lemon test, i put 2 tablespoons of Real-Lemon Juice into a misting bottle with 2 cups of water and hit some of my plants that had aphids circling my black containers. went to walmart to do some shopping, came back to check the aphids and they seemed to have died instantly in the exact position where i sprayed them. i am wondering if it will have the same effect on crane-flies because they too are hatching everywhere.

I think I'd be cautious about spraying something like that on the leaves due to the acid content - even if diluted. My first thought was "Won't that damage the leaves?" Though it probably kills the aphids, I think ajdrew's suggestion seems like a safer bet - draw the little suckers away from the plants. :)

Someone attempted to make a comparison list to represent the Scoville Scale in terms of Dragon Ball Z power levels: http://imgur.com/a/JE6un

A couple months ago my tolerance was high enough that dousing fajitas at a restaurant with Dave's Insanity Sauce was bloody mild, and then somehow my tolerance hit reset. Attempting to rebuild it now with homemade breakfast sandwiches - sausage rounds cooked with White Ghost on top of chili paste, which is topped with egg and Sudden Death sauce.

That, sir, would be a terrifying - yet amazing - sight.. Albeit, it would make it mighty difficult to harvest the fruit. lol
