#1627849 Chilhuacle Amarillo/Negro/Rojo

Posted by rghm1u20 on 23 April 2019 - 02:14 AM

Growing this year some Chilhuacle negro, so far I could taste a leaf for you, but I suppose not worth :)  I am pretty sure the seed source is Mike (smokemaster), but well, dunno if he grew himself, or is a donation/seed exchange. Have me in sight and shoot me later with a question/pm about the pepper, and I will send you seeds too, if no disaster struck.

Oh, is a brand, ok, understand. I was thinking, again some ebay seeds...

Well, check Vendor vault section and maybe order seeds, probably not so cheap as RAW, but at least you grow what you buy.

Meanwhile enjoy the serranos, they look good, and the plant is nice loaded.

Welcome from Romania!

+1! Grab as many seeds of as many varieties from there! Wilds lover here too! And not only wilds.

Where exactly in Africa are you?

#1621012 What Ratio water h2o2 for foliage spray.

Posted by rghm1u20 on 19 March 2019 - 07:07 AM

What kind of H2O2? In my country usually you can find it as 3%, but also 8%, maybe others too. Depending on this, depends also the ratio (not that I know the ratio, but will help other users to know what kind of H2O2 you want to dilute).

#1620975 When and why you started growing peppers

Posted by rghm1u20 on 19 March 2019 - 12:32 AM

Don't remember exactly when, probably around 25 years ago, when I had a place in my wife's grandma garden.

Why? To eat them! :P

I was completely noob, I mean no idea that there are so many peppers in this world, I was thinking there are only annuums, and no idea about over wintering peppers.

Later I have got some black peppers from my parents, wow, what a wonder! That time the beauty of peppers was a reason more to grow them.

And somewhere around 2011 I have met the first habanero. Maybe is a classic, but same day I have learned a lesson: wash carefuly your hands before using the bathroom.

From that point the virus hit me for true. I was like in an adventure to search for more and more peppers, grow and taste them. Found THP when I was searching for seeds, ajijoe was the one who "lured" me here, BTW, no sign of ajijoe since a while, also I see others missing here, Wicked Mike, KingDenniz, AaronTT, and others....

#1615498 Favorite heirloom tomatoes

Posted by rghm1u20 on 23 February 2019 - 03:00 PM

Good tasting - this is relative. What is good tasting for one, is not for other. For example I am not so much in those sour tomatoes, as a friend of mine is. My precious are some cherry tomato, they so sweet you can eat as candies. A coworker from China sent me the seeds some more than 10 years ago. She told me they are hybrid, and probably will not be able to grow next year. But well, they grew so well next year, and all the years since. One year almost lost the seeds, lucky me I have shared with somebody, and years later he returned me the seeds :)

Can't remember other right now.

Adrian....Miraclegrow is the brand name of the Aerogarden...they are so popularity  here esp.for us in the colder States,

I wonder if will arrive in safe here, looks pretty fragile. Does it have a heating thing below? I think I can see an electrical cord.

You say wilds and others, waiting for these others, I'm curious to see what's on the "menu" :)

#1614898 rghm kind of glog

Posted by rghm1u20 on 21 February 2019 - 06:57 AM

Looks like a promising start, Adrian.

Just go with the flow :)

Those few Brains I sent you did not sprout?

Thank you Uroš!

Nope, so far none. But no worry.

I hope those I sent to you are doing better... I had failed with some I sow this season, could be because I have neglected completely almost everything (my garden was a horror....) from the point when I started to change my roof, and the seeds were probably improper stored.

Oh, Sandy, you lured me into wilds, now you put this Aerogarden. Probably will have to find one myself.... Besides, I think you should put a warning, and let people they get into big risks when looking at this glog. High infection risk. For sure many will have the virus. And just think: it is so hard to find wilds seeds. If only half of thise who will visit your glog will start to search for wilds seeds, will be a hard task to find them....

:P Joking, Sandy! As I said, I hope you will have many pods. Me too. And spread the heat!
