misc One gallon fermenting jars.

I just got two more of the one gallon jars with the XL Fermenter lids, each one also came with the pump, a standard plastic lid, and a recipe book. I really like the gallon jars for making large batches of sauce, sour krout, kimchee, or whatever you want to ferment.

I also use these lids (thanks to Skullbiker). They are great and dumbproof! I used this Fermonster carboy (1 gallon) and it worked like a charm too:

@UnholyCharles Their only drawback IMO is the gasket inside the lid that is a bit hard to install (would buy again).

Hey SB, are these lids the usual large-mouth canning jar lids, or are they larger to fit typical 1 gallon jars? Also, have you found a regular-mouth lid yet? I haven't.

I believe they call this size 110mm/400. It's larger than the "regular" wide mouth jars but smaller than the one or two gallon anchor hocking jars like Walmart sells. I like these because i can make a large batch ferment(peppers, vegetables, or whatever) and I still have enough space that it doesn't overflow on an active ferment. I also use the gallon jars to make larger batches of kombucha. I have searched but never found vacuum lids for the small mouth jars. So, just to clarify, I have two sizes of vacuum lids--standard wide mouth and the XL lids for 110/400 openings.
