Here's the ingredients being prepared/cut, etc.

Spicy Ying Yang Tofu

Ingredients:

Packet of Tofu
Canola Olive Oil
Salt
Soy Sauce
Chili paste with garlic
Szechuan peppercorns
Tomato
Cilantro
Scallions
Onions
Ginger
Jalapenos
Corn Starch

Cut the tofu into slices. Put oil in the wok and put tofu in wok.
Brown both sides (about 3 minutes per side)
Take tofu out and plate
In wok, add salt, soy sauce, chili paste, tomato, onion, ginger, and peppers. You can add hotter peppers to taste.
After cooking for about 5 minutes, add corn starch and water to thicken sauce. Pour hot onto tofu and serve with rice.

The 2 quarters are in front of the drink.

Cilantro and tomato used as garnish. Szechuan peppercorn added as seasoning to the dish. It creates a numbing sensation that Szechuan folks call: Ma La...(Numbing/Spicy)

Hey dude nice entry, looks like a tofu lasagna!

TB will say:
"I pity the 'fu!"
Tofu, that is.

:( lol! I'm going to need some vegans on this board to beat Paulky! His ingredients look pretty fantastic!

While this was my first throwdown, I can't wait to enter more when I will bust out the meats, etc. My diet usually consists of beef, pork, and more beef so this was new to me too. It tasted pretty darn good!

Fixed up you post and put it all in one ;)

There's still time to crumble some bacon on there and take a pic.

SDP- the first thing I thought was waffle. Now I'm really wondering what tofu would be like slapped in a waffle iron.

Nice first throwdown. It's a worthy contender.

Is that "flower" a tomato? I wish is was made of hot pickled ginger.

Hi SumofMybits! It is indeed a tomato that I put the peel and made a flower out of it haha. Tofu waffle...that sounds interesting! It might work! Thanks for the kind words. Definitely looking forward to the next throwdown! This is fun!

Very nice!!!

I'm really diggin' the colors and the hand made rose.

I'll have my pics up tonight....when I have enough time to sort them out and describe them with some sort of justice. ;)

jesus dude thats just unnecessary

the most I ever spent on a throwdown was the dutch oven one, and it was like 55 dollars because of all the seafood

Looks real good SDP! Congrats on your first throwdown! Can't wait to see more.

I'm not a tofu fan, but the sauce you made looks like it would be amazing on just about anything!! Might have to whoop some up myself!

I disagree.

I have people to help me enjoy all the awesome food. After all....it's THEY that get to eat it! ;)

Thanks frydad! To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of Tofu either until I went to Vegas and had some fresh made ones at Raku Grill. OMFG it was unbelievable...But Tofu and Asian just seem to go together haha. The sauce also would go well with chicken and also most fish dishes too. I will definitely be competing in more throwdowns. Too fun!

Well Done, SDPepper!

That sauce would go well on other things. Great first TD.

This, folks, is what I would have made for the first Asian throwdown.......had my Retta not been in a SOOSHEE mood. ;)

Ladies and germs, I give you:

The Circle-H Five-Headed Dragon

Since I already posted the teaser, I'll get right on to the prep pics.

This first few are the making of the lumpia:
