My Limo Blanco plant is producing flower buds that are unlike any other that I have seen on a Capsicum:

Limo Blanco flower bud

I think I can now rule out this plant belonging to the Capsicum Chinense species judging by what I have seen.

That last pic is really groovy. Goes to show that it is not necessarily the flower hanging on to the pod that causes the stinger.
Good stuff.

i think the flower looks similar to my Peter Pepper flowers.could it be an annumm?
Does your Peter Pepper have weird flowers buds that aren't enveloped by the petals prior to flowering? The flower buds do not resemble the flower buds of any of the Capsicum Annuum varieties I have seen.

The flower bud I focused on in the photo is much like the other flowers on the plant. I can see what appear to be yellow anthers at the centre of each developing flower bud.

hmmm I'll have to check and let you know. I don't usually take too much notice of any annuums. I'll go have a closer look and get back to you

Come to think of it, harry, the buds are similar to that of my C. chinense Cheiro White (in that the petals don't envelope the insides).

I too have never seen anything like it.

And speaking of my Cheiro White....

:D

Looks more like a pale yellow but still cool.

Great to see that most people are doing well and we are starting to see poddage!!

Hey Gas let us know what the Cheiro White tastes like. It looks nice, got a couple going this season too.

Sure thing, man. As it still has that slight green tinge to it though, will probably give it at least another day.

Sadly that's the only pod it has produced so far too. More buds appearing now though so fingers-crossed and will hope for better luck in Round 2.

My little Aji Amarillo x Yellow Trinidad Scorpion F1's are really powering along and so far they look very, uh, Aji Amarillo....

I wish now I had sown another Aji Amarillo so I would have something to compare them against--or at least had taken some good snaps of my Aji Amarillo plant when it was a seedling. But from what I hear anyway, it's not uncommon for C. baccatum--or at least Aji Amarillo--to be extremely dominant in a cross with C. chinense.

I dunno, I'm not any good at the whole "identifying and comparing foliage" stuff anyway....

Sure let us know how the test drive goes of the Cheiro.
It's only early in the season so i'm sure it will be loaded with fruit soon
