What color should Scotch Bonnets be..?

Thanks for all the replies...   The pod  I got seeds from came from the vendor that supplies my local Mex restaurant. Pods were all bright yellow and looked all a little different, some with the classic SB look...   Both these pods come from that same seed pod of mother plant above in first post.

Well, been blowing/squalling pretty hard up here in nw Broward for a tropical storm. My weather station got sustained gusts, 1 registered 52mph. So decided to prune a little back on all plants and pick and washed all the ripe fruit... then moved the plants deep into the patio, just in case a...

    small hydro system

Thanks for the reply's...   HeatMister, thanks for showing us that vid, looks like the small containers can produce decently.   The system I posted uses no soil/media. Must use what they call, gigantic coarse gorilla perlite, not media/potting soil. They sell it, of course.   They say using any...

    Beginner mite help

Thanks for the info. Have noticed exactly what you say. Some pests make leafs up curl, some down curl, some make them twisted, some deformed, some stunt/shut down the plant, broad mites seem to do all of the above with a vengeance.

    small hydro system

My neighbor is moving and offered this system to me for $50. It comes with the pump, reservoir, and 5, 4 plant planters.   I know nothing about hydro systems, would this work and be any good for peppers...? Or a waste of time..?

Ya, you're 100% correct. Saw that pic of the only thrip op could find and his text book Thrip pic, with some calling it a spider mite...   Also in another thread of same plants, OP posted pics showing leafs with tiny spider mite type pin holes, and on this thread, a fuzzy(not conclusive imo)...

    Beginner mite help

After looking at your pics/damage more carefully, looks like your main pest is/was cyclamen mites or broad mites, imo.. As spider mites cause mostly pin holes, curled leafs, yellow dropping leafs, not deformed new growth like seen in your pics.Your type damage around my parts(sFL) is strictly...

    Beginner mite help

Well, with the utmost respect, after reading this thread, imo what works in the dry high mtn deserts of the USA might not be the best for sub tropical climates like we live in...   I use/have a bottle of premixed END ALL, for spot sprays, introducing new plants to my garden. its strong stuff and...

    First pods

Very nice, first pods are always celebrated....   Just an observation on this pic of yours, see the little pinholes you can see thru on a few leafs..? These are sometimes the tell tail signs of spider mites, are you spraying regularly..?   Not to get all worried, just might be something to check...

    COLD PRESSED NEEM OIL

Well, AG Southern Clarified Neem has a well engineered adjutants package and its a strong concentrate, and it never separates in concentrate form that I've seen.   I do shake up the concentrate before measuring it out to mix. Not sure its needed as its a homogeneous solution in looks anyhow...
