Papas con Huánuco (Peruvian)

1 lb of small potatoes (your choice of color)
8 oz Feta cheese
4 oz heavy cream
4 oz whole milk
2 -3 Aji Amarillo peppers (fresh or frozen) stemmed and seeded
1/2 tsp turmeric (optional)

Boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and set aside. Blend the peppers with the milk until smooth. Pour the chilie mixture into a saucepot and bring to a boil. Immediately reduce to a simmer and add the Feta cheese. As it melts, judge the color of the sauce. If it is not bright yellow, add the turmeric.

Place the potatoes in a shallow dish and pour the sauce over. I recommend this as an appetizer.
