I'm back for another fun-filled, jam-packed summer of growing a load of peppers. This year I started about 1k plants and wound up with 700 in the ground. The leftovers were mostly chocolate habs, which I decided I could do without more than the others. I'm also growing some tomatoes, and...

Well hello there. Once again I have brung an update. Finally bottled the 4 year old carboy of overkill. It was amazing. Hot as holy hell, and the taste is subtle, yet funky. Like the best parts of a slim jim. It looks like a martian landscape. A few peppers about to be chopped. The...

Time for a quick update. Chocolate habs at the big spot 08/25. Another one. Yellow 7 pots 08/25. It's a jungle in there. One of the chocolate hab spots. Not doing nearly as well. Happened to see the goodyear blimp at the market a couple of weeks ago. I just...

Salutations mon amises. I have returned. So this year I'm scaling way back, mostly because I have too much sauce still aging from last year. I don't have enough empty carboys for everything if I grew another 1500 plants, so I cut it back to about 300. All chocolate habs and yellow 7 pots. I...

Awesome. I've been growing them for well over 10 years now, I just love Indian food. I'm sold out of the curry sauce now, but it's a pretty good alternative to fresh leaves (if I do say so myself).

Ah ok. Not sure I've ever had a bing cherry. So are you growing some trees too? This is my favorite recipe with them: I also love them in fried potatoes.

The seeds you mean? The fleshy parts taste pretty much just like the leaves only a bit stronger. I usually only get a few dozen seeds from my plants every year but I make a sauce with the leaves.

I figured I'd take a few minutes out of my busy schedule of chopping peppers to post an update. Seriously, I've been doing nothing but chop peppers for about a month. The plants all wound up producing pretty well. I think I'm up to 24 carboys now and I still have a ton of peppers on the vine...

Update time. So the plants at the big spot still aren't as big as I'd like, but we have another couple of months so I guess they can still put on some height. I was hoping between tilling the soil and getting them in the ground earlier they would just go nuts. Maybe I should have topped them...
