    Jalapenos & more

At last i've been able to bring the plants outside to the balcony. They have been there for a week+. All of the pots are around 6 liters both square and round ones and everything is grown in coco coir. The weather has been mostly sunny, but there were couple of days of rain and the sun barely...

    Jalapenos & more

This is the first time i've taken cuttings from a pepper plant. Done bunch of other plants and i've had great success with those. We'll see if they do root - i will update you if/once they do. With other plants it was somewhere between 2wk-1month before showing any roots, so this is in no way a...

    Jalapenos & more

I have recently added a raspberry pi 2 to my grow tent. I made a crontask tab that schedules pictures to be taken every 1 hour or so and added a DHT-22 temperature & humidity sensor to my raspberry. The humidity and temperature sensoring code still needs some work to be done. I'd like to have it...

    Jalapenos & more

Sulsa's solution was just what i needed! :D I first was also skeptic, if it indeed is pests that could be causing it. I came to this conclusion after i noticed that there were multiple insects flying inside of my tent. I suspect that it was my fault though - I had kept the coir too wet too long...

    Jalapenos & more

Thank you. :) I wish the stores would also sell ones that are ripened. These ones, atleast in my opinion taste a lot better than the green unripe ones!

    Jalapenos & more

Finally my first Jalapeno pod ripened! Was actually quite surprised how hot jalapenos are once they are ripe vs unripe. Definitely will not underestimate those in the future. My Naga Morich plant unfortunately got infected by some insects, but for some reason my Jalapenos are not affected by it...

    Jalapenos & more

I really wanted to try out writing a glog and hope that you find it interesting to follow. I have some jalapenos, naga morich and bunch of hainan yellow lantern growing at the moment. I plan to mature the jalapenos in the tent and for the rest - i wish i can already move to grow outside on the...

seeds germinate in wet paper or potting mix

I pre soak seeds in room temperature water for 24h and then fold them inside a damp paper towel & ziplock. Usually there are couple of duds and i hate to waste coco/soil for those ones that wont germinate ever.

Hi! I'm 24 years old and got interested in pepper plants after my SO brought me some hot sauces from the store as a gift. After that i have been semi obsessed with studying pepper plants and also cultivating them. Last summer i had two sweet pepper plants on my balcony and even though they...
