    Maximum temperature to grow indoors

Welcome. My thoughts would be anything higher than 30-35*C would be hard on the plants as well as cause evaporation/humidity issues. My grow room in Canada would start to see leaves getting all bumpy and struggle from how quickly the evaporation was happening around 30*C.

    Hello from BC, Canada

Hi all,   I'm not actually new here, but i have been absent for a few years. I'm back... I have a garden bed again (although fairly small) and some space for some potted plants. I'm from British Columbia, Canada and have a passion for chiles. I am always open to seed trading although most of my...

    greenhouse Raspberry Pi greenhouse monitor/controller

I'm surprised the Pi has lasted in a ziplock bag without overheating itself. There are lots of cases available, some with 5v fans and heatsinks included. I would suggest something like this to avoid coming home from a weekend with a dead garden. If you put all your eggs in one basket with...

Metal halide, how far from the plants to out my light?

I run my 400W metal halide between 12" and 18" with a small fan that pushes the heat away from under the hood. the room is ventilated with an exhaust fan to maintain approx 22 degrees C average as well. I have no issues with this other than some "edema" once and a while which is caused from my...

How to start a season right

Everything looks great. You are not alone starting early.... there's no such thing with HID's. I have 5 small plants going, and don't even have a plan for them outdoors yet. I'm just experimenting so it doesn't need to be any season. Best of luck

update:   I have 2 jalapenos growing nicely as my grafting base... I've topped them to help branch out for this project. And yesterday a Manzano sprouted after more than 2 months. The other manzanos are a loss though... Im pretty sure they are just moldy   EDIT: I tried to post a pic to no...

    Grafting pepper plants...grafting clips...

I have just started seeds for a grafting project. All c. annuum using jalapeno as a base and several others to graft to offshoots. It will be a winter project for fun. I plan to use saranwrap and small office supply clips. Cleft grafts to start. I have seen a couple of youtube videos of...
