pests Bugs in my drip cups

Okay, I had some time this evening so I did some heavy-duty inspecting. I use Solo cups, doubled up with drip holes cut in the main cup and the bottom cup serves as rhe drip container. Started digging around in each container's potting mix and saw hundreds of tiny eggs. Also, after being in the...

pests Bugs in my drip cups

I don't believe it's fungus gnats. These things are little black bugs clustered up and they jump around. I've read that they are harmless but the plants that have a ton in the drip cups have been showing signs of stress (some leaf curling on the edges and top leaves wilting in the evening). I...

pests Bugs in my drip cups

Planned on trying some diatomaceous earth as well as letting the soil dry out as much as I can without harming the plants. Rinsed out the drip cups with alcohol to get rid of the ones I can see. We'll see what happens. If anyone has a surefire method, I'd love to hear about it.

Scotch bonnets kicking all my other plants' @$$es

I got them from fresh pods I bought at the farmer's market last year along with the red & chocolate bhuts and yellow habaneros so I'm not 100% confident in their origin . All my bought seeds came from puckerbutt or refining fire.

Thanks, I figured as much, just thought the difference would be more subtle.

Scotch bonnets kicking all my other plants' @$$es

In growth. Is this common? I started some red & yellow bonnets, reapers, bhutlahs, red and chocolate bhuts, yellow habs, morugas, butch ts, chocolate scorps, 7 pot douglahs, and 7 pot bgs and the bonnets are growing 2-3x the rate of all the others. Same medium, same watering/nut schedule, same...
