I was raised on a garden farm, love to cook, and am having fun developing the recipes for our line of all-natural gourmet pepper jellies. I continue to teach college English but have more fun teaching people how easy it is to use our jellies in recipes and serving suggestions. As I often say to people who ask about my experiences in the specialty food trade, I earned my M.A. from the University of South Florida/Tampa but am now earning my MBA through the school of hard knocks. Everything from selecting the jar to creating the label to locating a co-packer, warehouse, and distribution center to marketing our products--it was all a "work in progress," but it's a whole lot more fun than grading composition papers!

Cranberry Pepper Salad Dressing
Combine 1/2 cup Brimstone Originals Cranberry Pepper Jelly with 4 Tbsp. olive oil, 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar, and 1 tsp. ground mixed spices such as Mrs. Dash. Mix well. Heat, stirring regularly, just until jelly turns into a sauce. Pour over a spinach salad.
