I grow in a test lab, for the most part, though I do try to grow outside. I'm exploring the use of aeroponics as well as low-energy high-power LEDs for lighting.

Quick easy and dirty BBQ Peppers-
2 cups corn oil
2 cups cider vinegar
2 cups brown sugar
4 cups ketchup (BBQ sauce, if you prefer)
1 pound raw jalapenos, sliced into rings (substitute whatever pepper you can handle!)
1 pinch dried oregano
1-4 cloves garlic
Stir the corn oil, vinegar, sugar and ketchup in a large pot until the sugar dissolves. When it boils, reduce heat to low and add the peppers. Simmer for 10 minutes THEN add the oregano and garlic.
Ladle into pint jars, can in hot water bath.
Leave 'em sit for about 2-3 weeks, then crack into it!
