    Nitrogen Overdose Update

The older leaves with brown spots will continue to spot and will eventually shrivel up and drop because of the damage - it's just how plants deal with damaged leaves, they drop them off. What you want to focus on is the newer growth and in your case the newer leaves are looking fine

    soil My soil sucks!

Sorry bro! I know this isn't what you wanted to hear but... you probably just got a crappy kit. Here is one of the ratings for that product on amazon via the link you listed:   "I'm a PhD chemist so I thought that I'd just buy this kit and use it. During my first use (I was doing 5 soil...

Can Myco Blast hurt my plant?

Uh no, I can tell just by looking at the plant and the soil that your problem is underwatering. Give them some water but dont expect a quick recovery, it might lose more leaves before turning back around.

    Symptoms...

What pepper is this? Is it supposed to have purple leaves? Looks like the newer leaves are too light green, they either need more nitrogen or more sunlight.   If the purple is a normal finding then the plant looks in good health to me besides the above. If you're worried about mites get a good...

media Peat vs Coir vs Perlite

By far your best choice to fluff up the soil will be perlite - basically mix anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 parts perlite into the sandy soil and you will add a lot of fluff.

    Do I need to repot?

That garden soil is organic so in all likelihood it would pretty much be impossible to burn your plants with it because organic nutrients must be broken down and are slowly released vs your standard chemical ferts that are immediately available making it easy to burn your plants. If you're...

health What is wrong with my plants?

When using my HO T5 setup, my peppers would get purple stria like you see there on those leaves. The idea behind it is that the high amount of extra UV light given of by the fluorescent bulbs can cause this phenomenon.   Anyways, my best bet here is stress. I have to agree with terra in that...

health whats wrong with my plants

My guess is that your problem is plant stress from heat, wind, overwatering. Place the plants in a partially shaded area when its too hot. If it gets windy, move them to a place that gets less wind. I'm not trying to be mean, it's just don't overthink the situation. I think that if you do...

    Rookie experiencing rookie problems

I have used LW seedling starter a few years back and it worked great for seedlings.... but not only is it light in weight, it is also light in NUTES. You need to transplant into a new soil for more nitrogen. If you like FoxFarm products like I do, try out FF Happy Frog or Ocean Forest. Both are...

hydroponic Clear slime forming in hydroponics system

Hey buddy! Looks like serious root rot... hate to say it but I cannot imagine those plants will survive. Best thing you can do is like others have said, soak the system in bleach. To try and salvage the plants, add 1 tbsp of H2O2 per gallon of water and let that run with the roots in the system...

    The fabric pots - question.

MMM pretty sure people have done it and it works alright.    If you can purchase the pots for a couple bucks each, though, it's not like your gunna be breaking the bank to purchase the pre-made ones though.    They do work great - I use geopots and they're definitely better than regular pots.

    High Pressure Aeroponics

Wow, a hand pumped HPAs... now that is both old school and genius! I think the manned missions to Mars just got cheaper by way of less fuel used to grow their plants ; )
