Any Recommendations On Must Grow, Low To Mid Heat Peppers?

Fortunately, I'm in zone 6a. When did you start the chocolate habs? Mine have germinated almost a week ago. I've got a couple Chocolate Hab seedlings, Reaper seedlings, and a Fatalii White. I'm thinking a small greenhouse may be necessary to help the peppers ripen during the fall.

    Grodan Cubes

I didn't lower the Ph in mine last grow, and I do believe it stunted my growth. This year, I've soaked them in PH 5.5-6 water, and the seedlings that just emerged, look fairly healthy.

Thank you! Best of luck to your grow this year, as well. I haven't started one for 2020 yet. All I've done so far is soak some rockwool cubes in Ph balanced water, and planted a couple of each Chocolate Habs, White Fatalii's, and Reaper seeds. Here's my 2019 grow...

Any Recommendations On Must Grow, Low To Mid Heat Peppers?

Great to hear! I just ordered my seeds earlier, and Aji Fantasy reds had made it on the list. Can't wait to try.   Quite a nice long list of varieties, you've got there. I'm glad to see that I'll be growing a few that you have listed. So many more I'd love to try, but I've only got a 2.5'x5'...

Any Recommendations On Must Grow, Low To Mid Heat Peppers?

I can't find the Tekne Dolmasi, but the Cubanelles have been added to the list. My parents grow a good amount of Jalapeno's for salsa, so I usually get my fill of Jalapenos from them, haha.   I had forgotten about that one, added to the list!   Thanks for the recommendations, the Brazilian...

Any Recommendations On Must Grow, Low To Mid Heat Peppers?

Hahah! I'm sure there's a couple similar posts floating around.  Thanks for the recommendations. I'll look into the Bahamian goat. Looks up there in the capsaicin levels, but I don't mind the heat as long as it tastes good.    I'll add the Chocolate Scotch Bonnet to my list for next...

Any Recommendations On Must Grow, Low To Mid Heat Peppers?

Thanks for the Recommendation. Looks like a really solid choice. + They have it in stock!   I had them in my cart, but I was on the line. I'll definitely reconsider them. Looks like they would be great roasted or grilled with a bit of Salt & Pepper, or Soya sauce.

Any Recommendations On Must Grow, Low To Mid Heat Peppers?

I've had a blast growing a small variety of superhots last season, but this year, I'd like to find some varieties that are a bit more usable in the kitchen. I really enjoyed the few Carolina Reapers I harvested, but unfortunately most of my family members and friends, didn't quite like it as...

    Krimbles's 2019 Grow Log

About time I had another update. It wasn't an ideal start to the season, but my surviving plants are perking up. Switched to all organic fertilizers and nutrients. While I've already added most amenities to the soil when I repotted them, I just game them all some Power Bloom from Gaia green, a...

    Krimbles's 2019 Grow Log

I repotted all my peppers into 1 gallon pots. I used Pro Mix HP with some bone meal, blood meal, and kelp meal. Just watered them with some Neptunes liquid fish and seaweed. I hope to put them outside this weekend. If it only it could stop raining.

Thank you! I'm not done with the hydroponic experiments yet, just rethinking my approach for next time around.    And yes, I hear your region has quite the unpredictable weather. I must say, from what I've seen, it's a beautiful area. We've had nothing but rain on and off for the past few weeks...

    Krimbles's 2019 Grow Log

Thank you! Things could be looking better. I've lost most of my rockwool peppers to a Phythium infection. I transplanted my Yellow SB and White Fatalii, as each time I'd get new healthy root growth, they would eventually get root rot until I flushed everything.    Just this morning, I decided to...

Should I trim as many of the rotted roots as possible? I'd like to prevent them rotting off into my nutrient solution.
