I was growing this and trying to create a bonsai over the growing season. I would pinch off any leave that got over the size of a quarter and it seemed to regulate it's height itself. I got this plant as a seedling along with two others that grew to 3 feet or so.

I picked this one up from Lowes as a Bonnie Habanero, not the world's hottest one.

My mystery Bonnie habanero ripened to a flourescent orange color.

I snapped a couple more shots of some representative peppers. You can see the one ripe one peeking out: I just noticed this pic another one is starting to change: This one was a Bhut Jolokia that I was growing, but it doesn't look much like the unknown one:

It was a Bonnie plant labeled "Habanero Pepper". I checked after reading all the threads about the world's hottest not habaneros.

I'm leaning toward a golden/yellow fatalii or a yellow bhut, or some random mutt, but it is a cool color

I just checked the mystery plant today and noticed one of the peppers was changing colors. I don't know if this is it's final color or just a transition, but I will leave it on the plant. Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure it is some kind of hybrid. I'll have to wait until some ripen.
